Because of Rey.

You know, the thing with the ST is
that Rey is the center and the heroine versus Kylo/Ben as the heart, just like
Luke was the center/hero to Vader’s heart in the OT. It’s through Rey/Luke’s
eyes that we see everything unfurling. So because of that, it’s not about what
Ben deserves or not – that’s not the point. It’s what Rey WANTS.
