Are there any specific pre–Black Panther auditions that stand out in your mind?
I auditioned for [a movie with fake sides] that literally looked nothing like it would be for a space-opera adventure. Nothing that even seemed very futuristic. It felt more like a buddy-cop comedy. Kind of like 48 Hours. I found out months later it was a Star Wars audition.
modern Rey’s fashion is ungodly, she wears variations of tan full-length skirts and tucks them into her offbrand gray timbs. when she does wear pants theyre always capris and she always has a sweatshirt around her waist. nothing but graphic tees with the sleeves cut off, even in the winter, she just wears Finn’s leather jacket and her own patched up arm warmers over it. when Ben gives her his black trench she returns it with frayed hems and several holes, he tells her to keep it
The fanon that Ben was spoiled always fell really flat with me, like he’s never shown to have basically any material possessions… he’s a joyless ascetic monk…… he slept on the floor of a one-room stone hut at Luke’s, he wasn’t spoiled
