Tbh, I wouldn’t love Kylo Ben as much as I do if he wasn’t soft, haunted, hurting, equals with Rey, or entranced with Rey because of their shared power/loneliness.

That’s what makes Kylo so interesting. He’s been wronged, he’s been making mistakes, and he’s been punished for his foolishness. That’s why he looks like a mess, that’s why he fails to succeed and actually is his worst enemy at times. And now I just want to see him climb out of this hole and put a stop to Snoke’s war machine with the aid of someone who made him realize this path he was on was never meant for him.

We don’t need to try and construct Kylo Ben as a powerful super amazing prodigy, cause he already is one, and he’s also still a soft boy who fell in love with fellow garbage picker prodigy, Rey who beat him at his own game. So everyone jot that down and remember that this loser loves calligraphy, dissecting Force mysteries, keeping a cowl for years after it’s starting to go threadbare, writing detailed flight reports, and probably has an awesome rock and book collection he’ll take back up once he drops this whole Anakin Vader homage.

Idk about you but i did sign up for how beautifully subversive reylo is. How rey in this vulnerable position in the interrogation room turns the situation around after he crammed through her head and reveals his fears. How this menace of a man intimidated or angry by her powers but is in awe of it, marvels at it. And yes i am here for rey being inexplicably as strong in the force as him. Male heroes always get to special by virtue of being the protagonist. The dynamic could have very easily become an actual toxic connection and have rey be victimised and at the mercy of kylo ren but no instead he’s on his knees in front of her and giving her puppy dog eyes and yes that’s what i signed up for, not kylo humiliating rey to “get even” because she bested him that one time in a fight when he was injured.
